It's almost as if they record a minute or two of surf and just keep repeating it over and over. For some reason, any CD of the surf we've bought gets after your nerves after about five minutes and is no longer relaxing. This one was better than most, but it still annoys us after a while. I don't know what it is about surf CD's. When we go to Hawaii we always rent a house right on the ocean and we sleep to the sounds of the surf all night.
Great for relaxing pre-sleep after stressfuls days (hurricane, economy, etc). Had previous cassette tape of surf sounds and needed same on a CD.
Recording seems so real as if I am actually on the beach.Served the purpose of relaxation. I bought this for my kids something to go with quiet time.it's very relaxing.
Soft, repetitive surf sounds and wave action, no blaring foghorns. Great Cd for relaxation.
unless it is played too loudly. It is not distracting for massage, meditation, relaxation, sleeping, etc. Throughout, it is consistently relaxing as well as rich with almost visual detail.
This is not a music CD. Not so easy--think about how frequently planes fly over our heads. Dan Gibson consistently mastered, if not invented the art of nature recordings.
Yet, this is not another noisy, monotonous hissing ocean recording either. However, turn up the volume while hanging out at home and it can transform your landlocked condo into a beachfront bungalow. Mr.
Gibson used a very sensitive directional microphone and sat still like a guru while nature spoke.
